Selfie madness
Awarded to 2 top participants (1 practice, 1 school) with the most tagged selfie posts.
- Patients, staff, and students take a selfie — holding one of our printable props (included in your social media kit), sitting in the exam chair, wearing their new frames, whatever feels natural — and post it to Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn (we encourage all three!), tagging both @optometrygivingsight and the school or practice. (Please note that tags on other social platforms can’t count toward the prize.)
- Winners receive either US $250 toward a pizza party OR up to 25 WSDC t-shirts; a plaque to display proudly; and recognition via social media as well as Sight Lines, the OGS newsletter.
Social media bingo
Awarded to 2 winners (1 practice, 1 school) entered in a raffle.

- Complete all actions on the WSDC Bingo Card (downloadable via your digital toolkit), then email a photo of the completed card to wsdc@givingsight.org. Every emailed image of a completed bingo card means an entry into the draw to win.

Awarded to two winners — one practice and one school — whose fundraising efforts stand out via one or more of the following categories:
- Creativity: Developing unique or innovative fundraising ideas.
- Community: Engagement: Bringing patients, students, staff, customers, or the local community together to support the World Sight Day Challenge.
- Enthusiasm: Demonstrating strong team spirit and encouraging participation throughout the campaign.
- Impact: Raising meaningful funds while increasing awareness of the importance of sustainable vision care.
- Going the Extra Mile: Taking the campaign beyond the basics through exceptional effort, collaboration, or memorable activities.
Share photos of your fundraising activities on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn (we encourage all three!), tagging both @optometrygivingsight and your organization. Be sure to include the categories you’d like to be considered for. (Please note that tags on other social platforms can’t count toward the prize.)
