Just add a dollar or two to your eyeglass frames or select lines (you can do this globally through your system), count up the number of glasses dispensed monthly or quarterly, multiply by $1 or $2, and donate the amount. Add a sentence at the bottom of your sales receipts to let your patients know about your generosity such as: 'For every pair of glasses we dispense, we make a donation to Optometry Giving Sight to help provide eye exams and glasses to people in need around the world’ and/or give them a small card OGS will provide.CHIP IN FOR OGS CHIP IN FOR OGS (without impacting your practice revenue): Start using Chip In for your payment processing and Chip In will donate 10% of their processing fees to OGS. In essence it's like making monthly donations to OGS without impacting your practice revenue. For the past twelve years, the non-profit Chip-In.org has offered cost-saving credit card processing and donates to charitable organizations, one of which is OGS, out of its portion of the transaction fees. Just pick OGS as your chosen charity when signing up. Chip In offers to “Meet or Beat” your existing processing program. This results in more profitability for your practice, usually with no need for new terminals or equipment. There is no cost to you.RECYCLE RECYCLE: Recycle used contact lens products, blister packs, and other related packaging through Bausch + Lomb’s ONE by ONE and BioTrue® recycling programs in conjunction with TerraCycle. OGS receives donations through the programs. The more used packaging you collect and send them, the more money OGS receives. (Available for U.S. practices only).DISPLAY DISPLAY: Place an OGS donation box at your dispensing table or reception desk and invite patients to support OGS. Do you provide free services such as eyeglass adjustments and repairs? Patients are often willing to donate to a worthy cause in lieu of paying for these valuable services. ADD A LINE ADD A LINE: Create a donation line-item entry in the service menu of your EHR and invite patients to give. Consider asking patients if they'd like to add a dollar (or more) to their bill to help give sight to people in need around the world. DONATE A DAY DONATE A DAY: Donate exam fees from one day per month to OGS. OGS provides display items to let your patients know about your generosity.MONTHLY RECURRING DONATION MONTHLY RECURRING DONATION: One of the simplest ways to support us is to set up a recurring monthly donation to OGS. It's easy on your pocketbook and greatly reduces our administrative costs. We will send a donation form, or you can set this up at givingsight.org/donate-team-ogs.GET THE CONVERSATION GOING GET THE CONVERSATION GOING: Display a 16”x20” Global Impact Map in your office that shows all the areas OGS has made a difference. (It’s a great way to start the conversation with your patients about how your practice is making a difference in the world and how they can join you in helping!)DONATE REBATES AND REWARDS: HIGHLIGHT REBATES AND REWARDS Let your patients know that they can donate part or all of CooperVision's contact lens rebate and/or Bausch & Lomb's rewards points to OGS.
