wait...what is the WORLD SIGHT DAY challenge?
Nearly everyone on the planet will experience an eye health issue in their lifetime, yet over a billion people still lack access to the services and treatments they need. World Sight Day, observed annually on the second Tuesday of October, focuses the worlds’ attention on eye care that is accessible, available and affordable to all. The World Sight Day Challenge encourages everyone—from optometry practices to individuals to corporations—to raise funds for OGS-funded eyecare projects. The Challenge runs annually from September 1- October 31.
